How many people would like to make money online? I would guess that, if you ask that question to anyone, 99% would say yes, I would love to.
But is making money your real purpose? I would suggest that it is not. Money is a means to an end. What would you do if you had a regular steady income coming in no matter what? What we call a passive income, you don’t have to work for it. Perhaps you are the author of a very famous, best selling book or two. You have done the hard work. Now you can sit back and receive more than enough to live the lifestyle you choose and then some. You have investment consultants advising you so that you can spread any risk and not have all your eggs in one basket.
So, What then? What would you do with your life? Allow yourself to dream. Imagine yourself living the life of your dreams, never having to worry about money ever again.
Of course you buy anything you want. You could go anywhere you want. You could be on a permanent holiday, staying in the best hotels if you wish. You could climb any mountain or visit the seven wonders of the world and maybe soon you could go into space or visit the moon.
If you are new to being wealthy, you may spend several years doing all sorts of things but there may come a time when you get bored with just spending money and keeping yourself occupied and happy. (What a lovely situation to be in).
Imagine yourself there already. What interests you most? Would you learn a skill, an instrument, to sing or would you go back to university. Would you like to help others in some way? How? Or to make a difference in the world.
Many famous people throughout history started as well-to-do, financially independent people who just followed their passion because they had time on their hands to think and dream. People like Darwin and Issac Newton and many others. What would your passion be?
My point in the last few paragraphs is that making money is not an end in itself. There is usually an underlying need or desire which requires money and maybe more importantly, time to do do the things you want to do. If you are very poor, then it is hard to think about anything other than making money and, during this time, your focus is invariably in the wrong place. If you can shift your focus toward your true passion you will have much more chance of success. Unfortunately, many of us don’t have any idea what our passions are. We are too busy trying to make a living to dream about what may seem to be, impossible dreams.
